Control
point
located
on
the
Prayers
Road
leading
from
the
Qiryat
Arba
settlement
to
The
Tomb
of
the
Patriarchs.
It
is
designed
with
the
aim
of
ensur
-
ing
safe
passage
from
the
aforementioned
settlement
to
the
Tomb
for
settlers,
who
cannot
travel
by
car
during
Shabbat
and
other
Jewish
holidays.
From
this
point
up,
the
road
leads
to
all
the
settlements
located
in
the
northern
part
of
the
city.
From
this
point
down,
the
road
cuts
through
the
Pales
-
tinian
neighborhoods
of
a-Sa
-
laymeh and Aret Jaber and was
constructed
by
the
Israeli
forces
in
2003,
destroying
the
urban
fabric
of
the
area.
The
check
-
point
used
to
be
especially
active
on
Saturdays,
but
since
October
2015
controls
are
carried
out
throughout
the
whole
week.
Composed
of
a
road
gate
restricting
vehicle
access
from
the
Palestinian
neighborhood,
soldiers
stand
-
ing
next
to
the
gate,
and
watch
point
located
on
the
roof
of
the
building
on
the
other
side
of
the
street
since
the
time
of
the
Second Intifada.
